STEP 1
UNDERSTANDING THE CLIENTS EXPECTATIONS

When we get a new enquiry for a hotel, b&b or other hospitality website, we always prefer to meet the prospective client at their business. This gives us a feeling of what type of website will be required. We also discuss the clients expectations from the new website as well as analyse any existing website to get an understanding of what its strengths and weaknesses are. It always helps when a client shows us examples of competitors websites that they like so that we can better understand the clients personal tastes.

After our meeting with the client, we make a list of the main requirements of the site. These may include:
  • A built in reservation system so that visitors can see what rooms are available and book them directly on the site. This type of system usually works best for small hotels or b&b’s.
  • A live connection to an external reservation system where visitors can nake their reservation. This method is usually the preferred method for larger hotels.
  • The ability to sell products online. This could include products that the business sells in its reception or associated shop.
  • The ability to sell gift vouchers online and for customers to offer these as gifts. These can include monetary value vouchers, fixed price packages or the ability to create a personalised gift vouchers including choices such as room choice, breakfast, other meals, champagne, flowers etc.

STEP 2
CREATING VISUAL MOCKUPS OF THE PAGES

Next, we create accurate photoshop mockups of what the most important pages on the site will look like. This gives the client the opportunity to fine tune the eventual appearance of their website. Only when the client is completely satisfied with the mockups, do we proceed to creating the website.

See below some examples of how we deliver these mockups to our clients:

STEP 3
CODING THE WEBSITE

Once you have approved the design, we will start to code your new website and add all the functionality that you requested. We will usually code the website using a Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress. The WordPress CMS is relatively easy to use and includes an administration panel so that you will be able to add and change your content on your own once we have completed the project.

STEP 4
FINAL ADJUSTMENTS AND GOING LIVE

Once we have finished coding the website we will show it to you so that and final adjustments can be made prior to the website going live. We will carefully test every element on the site to make sure that it functions properly.

Once you are satisfied with your new website, we will activate it and put it on your live domain name so that you can start attracting new guests.
